Job Description
This is a full-time remote position as a Mandarin–English Medical Interpreter in a Blended (OPI & VRI) environment. The medical interpreter will be responsible for providing accurate consecutive interpretation services over the phone and via video between English and Mandarin in medical, social services, customer service, and financial settings. The role involves facilitating communication between healthcare providers and patients to ensure effective understanding and care.

Qualifications

• Interpretation skills for medical, customer service, social services, and financial calls

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Fluency in Mandarin and English

• Previous experience in medical interpreting is required

• Excellent communication and listening skills

• Relevant certification in medical interpretation or a related field

• HIPAA compliance

Requirements

• Ethernet connection (must be connected directly to the router via cable; Wi-Fi is not allowed)

• Noise-canceling microphone and USB headset (accepted brands: Logitech, Jabra, Plantronics/Poly, Microsoft)

• Browser: Latest version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox

• Processor: Intel i3 or higher, 6th generation or newer

• Camera: Minimum resolution of 1080p

• Full-time availability: 5 days a week (2 days off)
